DIY ' BOX' BRAIDS' - PICK AND DROP METHOD

07:20

Ola divas. If you follow me on SnapChat (Username-misssuga, hashtag don't judge me), you would know a few weeks ago I chopped all my hair off. Yes everything is ok, was saying no to unhealthy hair. As most of you witnessed I shaved my sides this summer, did a pixie cut so truth is, the big chop was painless.

Fast forward to now, my little "twa" is sprouting and I was tired of leaving it untamed. We all know winter calls for braids and as always, I couldn't resist a change in style.

MOMENT OF TRUTH: My hair is still very short to get straight into box braids with it therefore I decided to take a different route to achieve the look I was going for.

A friend of mine helped with the micro braids, i.e the pick and drop. I asked her to make them as spaced out as possible so that I would be able to box braid it properly without having the hair too full.

I have a video on how I braided my hair to the finished look below.

I hope this tutorial is useful to you, a friend or someone you know :)

    1. It took a total of 9hrs because I did it myself. The pick and drop took about 2 hrs to do so im sure if someone else is doing the hair for you it would be a lot faster. I used 4 packs of hair for this look and cut each pack into 3
