CAMEL FEVER?
01:20
Its unarguable that the camel coat has taken the fashion world (street style)) by storm and has set unprecedented standards about what looks good for fall/winter. Its somewhat become most fashionista's winter uniform.
Its with a heavy heart that I report that I too have joined this bandwagon (hangs head in shame). Funny as I was walking out of the Urban Behaviour, the store I purchased this number from, a question in the back of my mind left me unsettled and I succumbed to the pressure of the nagging and had to address it.
Why didn't I buy this sooner? Sure I'd seen it and had been turned off by the fact that EVERYONE owns one, but then again, I'd always toyed with the idea of seeing it hanging on my rack of ever-growing treasures. I came up with a mini list of reasons why it took me so long to coup up this baby
1) Its the number 1 item on every "I'm a fashionista" girl: There's just something about wearing what everyone else is wearing, especially since a lot of girls on Instagram own one. But then again, keeping up with trends is a thing right and who doesn't like good things? We all want to look good and truth be told, I was like a kid peaking from outside the window wanting to join the party too. SIGH.
2) The Price: The cost of most of these coats made me log off the internet every time I tried online shopping and I couldn't fathom spending that much money on a trendy coat (which everyone has btw) and as a student, I just wasn't ready to go a month without eating well after shopping (we all know that struggle). I mean I wanted it, just not that badly. However, this one is currently available for purchase at a very decent price at Urban Behaviour. They've really been working on improving the quality of their pieces and I have to say this was definitely a win for me.
3) Looks Good With Everything: I bet many of you are wondering what's wrong with that. Well, pieces like this limit creativity. I literally wear this with everything now, which if you want to look good on a daily without putting much effort is a good thing but if you are that girl who likes playing around with colour, shapes and prints, this could somewhat limit you. I however have been going for more neutral tones, simples pieces so I'm loving this.
All in all, its my one my current favourite pieces in my closet so you guys will be seeing a lot more of this here :)
